Job.... No more!!!!

He says that I m being a funny bitch.... I was like huh??? WTF!

Then he said that I did not clear the tables fast enough... WTFH!!!

Then he called the marketing person in charge and said that he wants me FIRED! FINE BY ME!!! So now i get to sleep at home =) Wee!!!!! I m so happy.....

New Job...

I found a job and have been there 2 months. Working as a restaurant supervisor @ The Simple Life (TSL) in Wheelock place and this restaurant is co-located with Fish & Co (Wheelock). LIke a sister company =)
This is the first time I am working in a F&B line... however, it's not the first time that I am working in a service sector so no biggie for me =)

Working environment is not bad although it is shift work. I dun mind the shift work though cos it means that I have time to run personal errands before going to work when I am working afternoon shift. Colleagues there are super fun ^_^ Pple at Fish & Co are wacky haha..... Not sure if hw long I will be working there though...

Before I got this job, I have also applied for the position of Prison Officer. However, as it was a mass recruitment exercise, it took quite a while to get back to me with regards to my application. I was asked to take a for psychometric test 2 weeks after I got the job at TSL. Apparently I passed the test. However, I suck big time at my interview 3 weeks later........ didn't know what to answer during role play.... =(

2 weeks later....

I gotta an email informing me to go for a Physical Fitness test (PFT). If I pass this test I get to go for a job preview (Basically to let u see the working environment)..... Thank goodness I pass although I seriously hated the running part (1.2km to be finished in 8 mins 40 sec).... My legs weren't mine anymore after tt bloody tiring run (by the way, I hate running!). Whatsmore, we need to climb 4 storeys to get back to the room where we first gathered..... Utterly tiring..... Job preview was a big eye-opener for me..... Guess this job will be a big challenge and a big change for me if I do get it ^_^ Wish me luck guys... Right now, all I am waiting for is to do my medical examination and wait.... to see if they will shortlist me......

Nite out....

Went for a nite out with my frens.... and this particular guy got really drunk.....
N the thing is when he gets drunk.... he becomes violent n drinks even more.....worse, he starts taking his drink 'neat' instead of diluting it with a mixer.....n asking pple to drink too...
Afterwhich, he falls asleep across someone's lap while holding onto my hand... n *yikes* i could feel his teeth lightly biting me a little....*hmm.... do i taste like a chicken wing???* Anyway.. luckily he fell asleep after that.....n he stayed that way till the pub closes..Then lo n behold, we gotta wake him if not, we will need to drag him out of the pub.... But once he wakes up, there he goes again.... hiaz..... as the saying, should let sleeping dogs lie.... hehe.....

New Hair Cut

Now that my hair is short, I MISS my hair.... sob sob....

But since it's free as I volunteer for hair modelling, I have got no complaints... =p

Well, it's has been a long time since my last blog....

Reason is because I have limited net access as I am officially UNEPLOYED.... haha...

Currently on the prowl, looking for a new job ^_^ Wish me luck in getting what i want hehe

Dinner @ Novena Sq

Went to Novena Square yesterday to met Melvin for dinner yesterday. Decided to try the food court "Kopitiam" which is located on the 3rd floor at the new extension building. Next to it was California Fittness... (hehe probabaly easy to attract people to go exercise after they have eaten too much =P). We ordered Pineapple Fried Rice, Sambal Sotong, Thai Style Spring Roll and Korean Rice Cake. The food was not bad but I feel that it's a little expensive for a normal food court. The rice cake set was S$5.00... It came with a plate of rice, the sidedish (kimchi n fried anchovies) and a bowl of clear soup. It is the same price as the Bimbimbap.... In my opinion, not worth the price..... =p would rather take the bimbimbap keke... well, at least now I know ^_^

Movie "Blood Diamond"

Went and watched “Blood Diamond” yesterday. It made me think how fortunate we are here and not in 3rd World countries like Africa. Hard to imagine, but yes, this is actually happening… not in the history where it happened twenty or thirty years ago… or a century ago…… but it is happening NOW like ten years ago kind of a thing….

Think of the child soldiers where their childhood consists of holding a rifle and killing anybody who disagrees with them… the fear of being killed anytime, anywhere or limbs being chopped up if the leader does not like what you do…. In our life here, we just get away with a scolding or worse probably a beating from parents or teachers followed by being grounded for a while or being forbidden to do your favorite things for a while. In comparison, the differences are a world apart. Totally different…..

Sometimes, we just know these things are happening… that this is just out there. However, it does not really seem real. It’s just a piece of news on the paper, TV, radio and magazines… but this movie really had me…Made me more acutely aware of reality… the bloody brutality the civil war, the use and training of the child soldiers…

Synopsis: Set against the backdrop of the chaos and civil war that enveloped 1990s Sierra Leone, "Blood Diamond" is the story of Danny Archer (Leonardo DiCaprio), an ex-mercenary from Zimbabwe, and Solomon Vandy (Djimon Hounsou), a Mende fisherman.
